Luce AI

Quickstart

Get from zero to your first marketing insights in five minutes

This guide walks you through connecting Luce to your AI assistant and running your first marketing workflow. By the end, you'll have real insights about your website.

Connect and run your first analysis

Connect your AI assistant

Add Luce to your AI assistant. The fastest way is with Claude:

  1. Open claude.ai, go to Customize → Connectors, click "+" and select "Add custom connector"
  2. Paste the URL and click Add:
    https://mcp.luce.sh/mcp
  3. Click on the Luce connector, then click Connect
  4. Log in or sign up in the browser window that opens, then click Allow

Other clients

This example is for Claude. See the Connection Guide for setup instructions for Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, OpenClaw, and other MCP clients.

Verify the connection

Test that everything works by asking your assistant:

Prompt
List my Luce projects

If you see a list of projects (or an empty list if you're new), you're connected. If you get an authentication error, disconnect and reconnect the Luce connector to re-trigger the OAuth flow.

Create your first project

Every marketing analysis in Luce starts with a project. Tell your assistant:

Prompt
Create a Luce project for https://yourwebsite.com

Luce will create the project and automatically start an onboarding workflow that researches your company, product, target audience, and competitive landscape. This takes 1-2 minutes.

Better context, better results

You can provide extra context — industry, target markets, competitors, growth goals — to get more tailored results. But the website URL alone is enough to get started.

Check onboarding progress

While onboarding runs, you can check its progress:

Prompt
What's the status of my running workflows?

The response includes step-by-step progress with a percentage and the current step label. When onboarding completes, your project has a knowledge base that every future workflow builds on.

Run your first analysis

Now you're ready for real insights. Start with a project overview to see what's available and what to do next:

Prompt
Show me the overview for my project

Luce will show you which analyses are complete and recommend what to run next. Common first workflows:

  • SEO audit — "Run an SEO audit for my project"
  • Growth strategy — "Create a growth strategy for my project"
  • Reddit discovery — "Find relevant subreddits for my project"
  • AI visibility scan — "Scan my brand's visibility in AI search engines"

Pick one and ask your assistant. Each workflow runs in the background and delivers results when done.

Read your results

When a workflow completes, results are included automatically. But you can always come back to them later:

Prompt
Show me my SEO dashboard

From there, Luce recommends what to do next — fix technical issues, generate blog posts, analyze competitors, or dive into keyword research. Each tool guides you to the next logical step.
